Easter

Coloring eggs is always a family favorite. Pierce thought the eggs were balls and tried to throw each one we gave him. I love that he has a one track mind!

Allee absolutely loves dying eggs, she can't get enough. If you look very closely you will notice that her fingers are a lovely shade of red. She couldn't make her eggs beautiful without putting her whole hand in the dye. I am amazed how each year she changes. This year she was very meticulous about how she colored her eggs. She even made one look like a watermelon.

She is such a beautiful girl, and ready at any minute to pose for a picture! She loved her Easter dress because she could twirl in it. That was a major factor when picking a dress, if it doesn't twirl it's no good. The Easter Bunny gave her a Webkinz and a new kite. She was in heaven.

It is so strange to me that Pierce is already one but this was his first Easter. Last year Easter was so early and he was born the week after. He is such a little character. I fell in love with this outfit. I have always been excited to dress a little boy up in church clothes, they are so handsome! Pierce's favorite gift was a new swing. Whenever we go outside it is all he wants to do. Derek set it up after church and the kids had a ball playing together.

I feel very blessed to have these three in my life. They make my world go 'round and to see them together the way they play and make each other laugh is the best feeling.

Pierce's Day

Happy Birthday Pierce

This year has gone by so fast. I can't believe my little guy is a year old. He is the funniest kid and his goofy faces make me laugh every day. It has been such a wonderful experience having Pierce in our home, he has made our lives so much better. What a blessing he is. As you can see Derek is making sure he cheers for the right team.

Pierce's basketball cake. The boy absolutely loves balls. They are about the only things he will play with and other than, "ma" the only word he will say.

He completely demolished his cake. He loved every minute of it and when I finally took it away he wasn't very happy.

We feel so lucky to have our family live close by especially for occasions like this. We are very blessed to have so many people around our kids who love them.

This is my attempt at a birthday cake. It isn't perfect, and I'm not sure if the bottom every did look like a net, but it was really fun to see how excited he got over his ball cake.
It was a very rewarding and stressful cake, I am not sure why I attempt to make things like this.

For the day of Pierce's birthday we had Pierce's favorite dinner, Mac & Cheese and we had cake as a family. Pierce was so excited for his cake, he just kept saying, "ball, ball, ball". (I made a mock up of the basketball on his cake for practice).
